The Serene Republic of San Marino
Upon my last visit to Italia, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the oldest Republic in Europe. It is the third smallest Country in Europe, and was established in 301 by the Christian Stone Mason, Marinus.
I found a true synergy with its culture and peoples. From its early traditions, it has aligned itself with freedom, respect and Liberty.
Garibaldi found refuge in the Republic as he sought to unify all of Italy and his Portrait sculpture overlooks visitors and citizens alike.
Abraham Lincoln exchanged letters with the Representatives of the Republic and a portrait bust of him is in a prominent location.
One of my current goals is to establish and nurture further bridges of cultural exchange between San Marino and my ongoing projects.
