Japanese Mythology

The culture of Japan has always held deep fascination for me.

This painting, in its early stages, plays off of my interpretation of one of the origins of Japan and its rich history.

From the crashing waves of the Sea Dragon, to his Daughter gliding the face of the wave, to the warrior yet to be depicted in his craft, this painting brings back the joy of color and refresh of imagination.
