Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sculpture Project

Dr. King has always been an inspiration. This clay portrait is in the ‘nearing completion’ stages. It is my hope to work with friends and family of the late Civil Rights leader, to portray as accurate as possible, not only the physical likeness, but the all important ‘spirit’ that still casts light into a very important and relevant subject.

I am currently working on details and putting the finishing touches on both the scale model of Dr. King in his robes and the detailed portrait bust. The next step will be working with the quarry in Elberton, Ga, USA to pick the perfect granite to begin the process of the over 8ft tall epic portrayal.
